This semester I decided to take up substitute teaching to help put me through school. It gives me practice in my major and helps me learn new things about myself. I usually teach the older grades even thought that's not what I will be teaching. I loved teaching preschool! I didn't really like 5th grade. This week I have two half days of 4th and 6th grades. I have two more 6th grade jobs after this one. I enjoy it and it keeps me in practice.
Starting next week I will be working in a classroom I am not sure what grade. I will be working with a student that has some kind of disability, most likely with a student with a learning disability. It will be fun but I hope I can get a little bit more work too. It's first come first serve. I just picked up the 4th grade job yesterday. The good thing is you can work a little over a half day but it still counts as a full day making it pay more. That is helpful. Anyway, just wanted to update you on what I have been up to besides my school work.

Virtual Field trip on Ecosystems
Here is a cool project for my tech class. Also, here is the link to my professional website. I am still working on it and updating it. https://sites.google.com/site/cierravanleeuwen27/
Candy Art
This is all edible candy. They are cupcakes. The one in front has rice crispy treats on top. The peas are green tootsie rolls and the broccoli is them rolled in sprinkles. This was for my art class and the girls did an amazing job. I just wanted to share some art :)

Home Sweet Home
It was so nice to come home this weekend. I was so thankful for the extra break this holiday weekend. I need to do a little bit more homework. It is hard for me to post since I don't have the internet at my house and it does not connect to the internet at home in Idaho. It is really annoying. Right now I am at my cousin's house.
I am so stoked because the Amazing Race comes on really soon. I was also able to file my taxes and change my break light. I like coming home because I am able to run errands easier since I know where more things are. I think I will come home again to watch the Hunger Games with my family since I introduced most of them to it. I am sooo excited only 33 more days!

Interesting.... Racism??
I find this very interesting because I posted it on my facebook page and I had no comments about it. It was a assignment for a class to write about the reactions we got and I got none. Here is another one that is sad but true.

Vermont Here I Come!!! In June...
So I got the job at the camp and I might be working in the office a little bit as well, we will see. I leave June 1st. I am so excited to go! The reason it took so long is because her nanny from last summer is not sure if she will come back or not. She has 2 nannies every summer to give each time off. If the other girl comes back we will split the job and I will spend some of my time in the office. If not I will split the job with someone else. I need to book my flight soon. I thought it was really cool all of the different things they offer so I went ahead and listed them here. Sorry, I haven't blogged as much as I would like to lately.
